'Man Of Steel' Movie Suit Revealed

Still trying to wrap my head around it, as I just saw it a few short minutes ago. It looks a little "scaley" to me, but then again the costume in 'THOR' looked a little funky at first too.

But anyway, here it is, in all it's "glory":

Laurence Fishburne Is Perry White In "Man Of Steel"

Laurence Fishburne cast as Perry White in 'Man of Steel' -- EXCLUSIVE
by Adam B. Vary

Lois Lane and Clark Kent just got their boss: Laurence Fishburne will play Daily Planet editor-in-chief Perry White in Man of Steel, EW has learned exclusively. White has traditionally been a hard-charging, old fashioned newspaperman, who relies on his ace reporters, Clark and Lois, to get the big scoop. Jackie Cooper played White in the Christopher Reeve era Superman films, and Frank Langella in director Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns in 2006.

The Superman reboot, produced by Christopher Nolan and directed by Zack Snyder, stars Henry Cavill as Clark (a.k.a. Superman), Amy Adams as Lois, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, and Diane Lane as Martha Kent. It’s due to begin filming this fall, and is slated for release on June 14, 2013. (Reporting by Jeff Jensen)

I actually thought Harry Lennix would be awesome as Perry White, but Fishburne is A-OK with me.

Are We Going To See Henry Cavill As Superman Anytime Soon?

And if we DO, will it be that horrific Jim Lee "redesign", or the much preferred Classic-But-Updated look?

Hey All,

It's now July 17th, a week before that geek "Mecha" Comic-Con, and we have as yet seen hide nor hair of Henry Cavill. As Zack Snyder himself said, he wanted to get the first image of Cavill in the Suit out before production began, to avoid an 'X-Men'-type fiasco. With production tentatively scheduled for August 22nd, 2011, and sets are already being built, one has to wonder why exactly Cavill has been so incognito?

Could it be that with the controversy regarding DC's boneheaded "Rewhateverthehellitis", that Snyder is planning to use a suit that is not quite Classic, and wants to avoid a negative backlash heading into filming? Is he going to pull back on releasing an initial image until after September, and hope nothing leaks? Or will he pull a Singer and say "Damn the fans, this is what I want!"?

Or, are they planning on releasing it this week to coincide with Comic-Con? Not necessarily AT Comic-Con, but possibly in the Bros. Warner owned Entertainment Weekly? If they are proud of what they have come up with, and think it will knock people's sock's off, why not release it next week and have a "buzz" heading into San Diego's Crown Jewel?

Time will tell as to which way this will play out. But I have a feeling that the longer it takes, the more concerned I am going to be.

Harry Lennix Cast As "General Swanwick"

Hey Everyone,

I was thinking he would be playing Perry White in the 'Man Of Steel' reboot, but it turns out I was wrong. Harry Lennix will be playing "General Swanwick", a character created just for the film.

Since he is ALSO playing a General, it makes you wonder just who Christopher Meloni is going to play? Or, will there be at least THREE different General's in the film?
